NEW YEAR, NEW MUSIC BIZ

I know I’m a month late for this but, I’ve been working hard behind the scenes setting up 2018.  I’m finishing my first book about Marriage, preparing new music business ventures, and finishing an album with my songwriting partner, Kevin Herrick for our group, Heller Ridge.  I’m really excited to share with you all about some opportunities that have been presented to me; more on that later.   Artists, if you need help creating, writing songs, marketing, A&R, or setting up your album for the marketplace give us a call here at Life-Line Worldwide, we want to shape artists into who they will become to further their career for longevity.  We are getting ready to celebrate our 10th Year Anniversary on February 8th of working with multiple genres of artists and labels in various capacities.  I’ve had a huge learning curve throughout the years; and it’s not been an easy task growing a business from the ground up but, with God’s help and many colleagues giving me advice throughout the years; I’ve persevered through it all and come out on the other side.  The music business has changed drastically since I began 28 years ago and I want to let you know that I do not have all the answers but, I never stop learning so that I can direct artists so that they understand how to navigate through all of the noise.  Let’s all work out our calling and put aside all of the distractions so that we can move forward and become the change that we want to see in this world.

MATT MAYER IN NASHVILLE

Dallas, TX-Songwriter, Producer, Rapper, Recording Artist, Matt Mayer has been hard at work on his upcoming debut album, American Survivor; he took time out to come get some work on the business side of things in Nashville.  “I came up to work with my business partner, Jason Hollis of Life-Line Worldwide; we are getting my publishing, PRO (Performing Rights Organization) at BMI, copyrighting my songs, networking with producers & industry guys, and getting everything set-up for the record” says Matt Mayer.  While in Nashville Matt really wanted to get to see the inner workings of the songwriting and business-side of how things get done.  “I really want to do things right as Hollis is always telling me; take the time to do it right don’t let the industry dictate how you do things.  At the end of the day I want to make relevant hip hop music that speaks to me and hopefully to millions of people the world-over.  I’m the kind of artist who is very meticulous about the lyrics and how that message comes across.  This trip has taught me a lot and I’m just excited to see where the music will take me” said Matt Mayer.  American Survivor the album will be arriving late 2017 stay tuned for details.

HELLER RIDGE RECORDING NEW ALBUM FOR RELEASE LATE 2017

Nashville, TN-Singer-Songwriters Kevin Herrick and Jason Hollis known as the Duo-Country group, Heller Ridge are beginning the process of recording their new album which will have a projected release date in late 2017.  Over the last two years they have been writing and recording demos for the ten new songs for this album.  “They all have our signiture sound of catchy melodies and harmonies; and uptempo songs and ballads.  There is a wide range of subjects like Love songs, overcoming adversity, relationships gone bad, and finding your way back home.  It’s truly a body of work that we are proud of” says Jason Hollis.  The sound is described as Country music with a Rock edge to it with rich harmonies.  “My background is in Southern Gospel and Traditional Country where Jason comes from the Rock N Roll world of writing.  It’s a sound all it’s own for the most part because harmonies are not prevalent in todays Country marketplace” says Kevin Herrick.  “We will be recording at different studios for this album because of who we are working with on this project, the acoustics, and the vibe, it’s all going to work well together; We are going to begin next month in July to kick things off” said Jason Hollis.  As songwriters they hope to pitch the songs to other artists as well because they want the world to hear these stories through song.
